ED (extra-low dispersion) glass is Nikon's innovative lens, for other types of high-performance lenses (such as calcium fluoride compound lenses) fragile and easily scratched. ED lens can reduce the chromatic aberration, and ensures that the various wavelengths of light actually focus on the same point. Which generates light and contrast between the almost no color distortion of images.
